Hasay finishes sixth in first college meet

Former Mission Prep star Jordan Hasay finished sixth today in her first collegiate cross country meet today at the Bill Dellinger Invitational in Springfield, Ore.

Hasay, a freshman at the University of Oregon, completed the 5,000-meter course at Springfield Country Club in 16 minutes, 39 seconds.

Sheila Reid of Villanova won the women's race in 16:22 with Oregon's Alex Kosinski second in 16:25.

Hasay was Oregon's No. 2 runner.

Villanova, with all five of its scorers in the top nine, won the meet with 22 points to 41 for Oregon.

Cal Poly's men's team was running later at the meet, hosted by the University of Oregon.
