The chairman of the Board of Supervisors all but told a persistent critic of Public Works Director Paavo Ogren to put a sock in it as she continued her attacks against the county official Tuesday.
“It’s time for the assaults on the integrity of Mr. Ogren to stop,” said Bruce Gibson. “This issue is over.”
Gibson spoke at a Board of supervisors meeting after Lisa Schicker of Los Osos complained that last week’s report by County Counsel Warren Jensen did not answer her doubt about Ogren’s handling of the Los Osos sewer project.
Jensen found no conflict of interest or other inappropriate behavior by Ogren.

Schicker ally Gail McPherson of Los Osos also pleaded with the board to continue an investigation. “Please, please don’t let this go,” she said.
But Gibson reiterated Jensen’s finding that Schicker’s 1,300 pages of complaints were “heavily laden” with her personal opinions, and short of supporting documents. Schicker has denied that.
Jensen said he has posted Schicker’s communications and his responses on the county website, and invited citizens to read them and draw their own conclusions.
