Pismo Beach's 69th annual Clam Festival starts Friday and runs through Sunday with a parade, surfing, a clam chowder contest and clam dig.
The event will kick off Friday evening with a wine walk in downtown Pismo Beach from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday will feature surfing from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., a parade at 10 a.m. and a clam chowder contest from noon to 2 p.m. or until the chowder runs out. Tickets for the contest are $10.
Sunday will cap off the weekend with a clam dig from noon to 1 p.m. and clam bake to follow.

Three-day passes are available for $55 and cover the wine walk, chowder contest, clam bake and four drink tickets. Two-day passes are available for $30 to include the wine walk, chowder contest and two drink tickets. Individual event tickets are also available: $20 for Friday's wine walk, $10 for Saturday's clam chowder tasting contest and $25 for Sunday's clam bake.
Live music and vendors will also be featured at the weekend's festivities.
