Arroyo Grande officials are hoping to take advantage of the closure of the Brisco Road on- and off-ramps at northbound Highway 101 by simultaneously repaving the underpass next week.
The stretch of road between West Branch Street and El Camino Real is scheduled to be re-paved starting Oct. 12, according to a city news release. The paving work is expected to take one week to complete and will occur between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
According to the news release, the work has been timed to take advantage of the on- and off-ramp closure at Brisco Road and Highway 101.
The northbound on- and off-ramps closed Oct. 7 to conduct a traffic study that will examine the impacts to traffic if the ramps were closed permanently. The ramps are expected to remain closed until Dec. 7. The closure is expected to cost the city approximately $100,000.
