Lots of events planned for San Miguel in October

What a weekend! Events at both the Rios Caledonia and the Mission San Miguel were well attended and thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks to all who participated — who volunteered and attended to make them a success. We’ll do it again next year.

October events

Sharpen your pencil and open your October calendar:

Thursday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m. at the Senior Center, 601 East 12th St.: Community potluck. Everyone is welcome to bring a dish to share.

Fridays, Oct. 9 and 23, 6 p.m. at the Senior Center: Bingo — 10 games at 50 cents per card. Refreshments are served. Saturday, Oct. 17, 8 a.m. at Lillian Larsen School, 1601 L St.: 24th annual Larsen Fun Run (aka Eileen Rogers Run).

Saturdays, Oct. 17 and 24, 4 to 7 p.m at the Community Building in the park: Lions Club Rib Nights. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 7 p.m. at the CSD office at 1150 Mission St.: Christmas Parade Meeting. Saturday, Oct. 24, 4 to 7 p.m.: Pleasant Valley Community Foundation Harvest Supper at Rolling Hills Ranch, 7275 Cross Canyons Road, to benefit Pleasant Valley School.

Wednesday, Oct. 28, 7 p.m.at the Community Building in the park: San Miguel Advisory Council.

Thursday, Oct. 29, 7 p.m.at the Community District Office: San Miguel Community Services District.

All of these activities and events are a great way to enjoy seeing old friends and making new ones while helping your community along the way. See you there!
