Three small grass fires were quickly put out in the same area of San Luis Obispo on Tuesday night, and a fire department official said they are being treated as “suspicious.”
One fire took place behind 385 Lincoln St. near Chorro Street, and two others were near the creek on Brizzolara Street, according to San Luis Obispo Fire Department Battalion Chief Neal Berryman.
The grass fires, which were within about a half-mile of each other and were extinguished about 8:15 p.m., didn’t burn areas greater than 10 by 10 feet, Berryman said.
Each one was extinguished within about two minutes of firefighters’ arrival, Berryman said. No structures were burned, and no one was injured.
