A workday in the garden at Lillian Larsen School will be held on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon.
The garden was started several years ago and enlarged by a generous donation of planted beds received from Savor the Central Coast. Ag teacher Christina Wilkinson oversees the students who work and learn with hands-on experience.
Friends of the Garden is a nonprofit group of local gardeners who help with maintenance all year long. Additional volunteers are always more than welcome. If someone can bring a lawnmower to be used early before students arrive, it would be appreciated. Also please bring your own tools, gloves and water.
