A one-mile section of southbound Highway 1 between Grover Beach and Oceano will close this week for a pavement repair project.
Caltrans announced that from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, southbound Highway 1 will be closed between Grand and Pier avenues. During that time, southbound motorists will be detoured onto Fourth Street.
Northbound traffic will continue using the stretch of highway, but motorists can expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
Electronic message boards will be posted alerting motorists of the work, and the California Highway Patrol will be present to assist with traffic control.
