A Templeton man was killed and three others injured during a three-car crash near Morro Bay on Saturday afternoon.
Around 2 p.m. Nicholas Bundren, 24, of Atascadero was driving a Ford Fusion west on Highway 41, east of Mission Drive, when he veered into the oncoming lane for unknown reasons, according to the CHP.
According to the CHP report:
The left front of Bundren’s car hit the front of an oncoming Mercury Grand Marquis. A third car behind the Grand Marquis swerved into the other lane to avoid the collision. Propelled from the impact of the original collision, Bundren then returned into the original lane and the back of his car crashed into the right side of the third car.
