Highway 101 at the Los Osos Valley Road interchange in San Luis Obispo will undergo various nighttime closures between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. this week.
The purpose is to remove temporary supports used for the construction of the new overcrossing bridge, which cannot be done over traffic for safety reasons, according to a news release from the city.
The nighttime closures started Sunday evening and will continue until Friday morning. Closures will include Highway 101 lanes, on- and off-ramps, and the full freeway.
Signs will direct drivers through any detour routes needed for the particular closures.
