A Paso Robles resident rolled her car twice after she lost control when she took her eyes off the road to look and reach down for her cellphone charging cable, CHP Sgt. Tim Neumann said.
Blanca Renteria, 24, was alone in the car Friday, driving north in the fast lane on Highway 101 in San Miguel, when she drifted onto the dirt median on the left side of the road and lost control of the car, police said. Renteria struck a dirt embankment, which caused her car to roll twice before it stopped on its roof in a traffic lane south of the Mission Street off-ramp, according to the CHP.
Renteria got herself out of the car, and she was taken to Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton for treatment of moderate injuries, according to a news release.
