Allegiant Air offers flight help to people affected by Las Vegas shooting

Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air is offering to help those affected by the Las Vegas shooting.

“Whether you need to fly to or from Las Vegas, please write to us at communications@allegiantair.com. We will do what we can to help you,” the airline tweeted Monday. The closest airport to San Luis Obispo County that Allegiant flies into is the Santa Maria airport.

The airline also flies in and out of Fresno, Stockton and Monterey, in addition to larger hubs at Oakland and Los Angeles.

The mass shooting happened late Sunday night, when a gunman on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino fired onto an outdoor country music festival. At least 58 people are dead and more than 500 are injured as a result of the shooting.
