An Arroyo Grande man was killed when his motorcycle crashed early Saturday morning.
The man, identified as 42-year-old Samuel Tyler Eddy, was riding a Suzuki motorcycle south on Valley Road, north of Sunrise Terrace in Arroyo Grande, according to the CHP.
Eddy failed to navigate a sharp right curve in the road, and the motorcycle left the road and struck two signs before overturning, the CHP said. Eddy was thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest in a farm field east of the road, the CHP said.
Authorities said they were unsure of the exact time the crash occurred, but the CHP received a call from the Sheriff’s Office about 6:35 a.m., when sheriff’s officials told the CHP they had just discovered the collision.
The crash is under investigation, and authorities do not yet know whether alcohol or drugs were contributing factors.
