A car crashed into a power pole in Nipomo on Monday night, trapping a passenger inside.
The car overturned in the area of Hutton Road and Joshua Street at 7 p.m., according to CHP.
Cal Fire reported one person had to be extracted from the car and PG&E was called to the scene to deal with the downed power line. The person had only minor injuries, according to CHP.
Soon after the crash, numerous people reported that the traffic lights on Tefft Street at Thompson Avenue and Oakglen Avenue were blacked out and not working, but PG&E’s outage map did not list any power outages in Nipomo as of 8 p.m.
