A two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 backed up traffic at rush hour in San Luis Obispo on Friday evening.

Drivers reported that traffic on northbound Highway 101 was backed up from near the Monterey Street offramp, the location of the crash, to past the Madonna Road onramp. The crash blocked both lanes of Highway 101, which reopened by 7:45 p.m.

California Highway Patrol said minor injuries were reported, but no arrests were made. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Traffic on Monterey Street north of downtown San Luis Obispo also was congested.

The crash was first reported about 5:15 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page.
