Authorities say alcohol was a contributing factor in a car crash Tuesday evening in downtown Paso Robles involving a vehicle that was reportedly stolen from the California Mid-State Fair parking lot, police said.
The Paso Robles Police Department and Department of Emergency Services responded to an injury collision about 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of 16th and Spring streets.
They found a black Ford Explorer with major front-end damage in the middle of the intersection and a Pontiac sedan parked in the nearby Bank of America parking lot. A third car parked in the Bank of America parking lot also was damaged, police said.
The Pontiac, which was previously reported stolen, collided with the Explorer as it passed south through the intersection, according to police.
