The Downtown San Luis Obispo Farmers Market will welcome an expanded group of food sellers to its lineup — vendors offering everything from microgreens to sheep’s milk ice cream will set up shop on Chorro Street through September.
The Thursday night market — where hundreds of vendors offer fresh produce, restaurant-style food, flowers and other products — is open for business year-round on Higuera Street from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Downtown Association and the San Luis Obispo County Farmers’ Market Association, which run the market, opened a similar Chorro Street expansion from June through September last year.
This year’s vendors will include Valencia Farms, Gracious Greens, Vintage Cheese Co. and Negranti’s Ice Cream, according to a Downtown Association news release. Bliss Café will also dish up vegan and vegetarian fare along the expansion, and live entertainment will continue as scheduled.
