Cal Fire crews contained a small brush fire near Templeton on Monday evening, saving two structures threatened by the flames.
Firefighters responded about 3:57 p.m. to a brush and grass fire on Spring Creek Way, just south of the intersection of El Pomar and Almond drives, according to Cal Fire.
The blaze burned about 1 acre of land before crews were able to stop its forward spread.
Two structures were threatened, but firefighters were able to prevent the flames from reaching the buildings, according to Cal Fire.

Crews remained on-scene to mop up after containing the blaze. The cause of the fire is unknown.
