An entire load of dirt spilled out of the bottom of a dump truck in San Luis Obispo, leading to traffic delays for about 90 minutes on Santa Rosa Street on Wednesday afternoon.
A bottom valve on the Drake Excavating truck apparently failed, which caused dirt and rocks to spill and block one southbound lane of Santa Rosa near Olive Street, the Police Department said.
Police said Drake Excavating cleaned up the spill with Caltrans’ help. The roadway reopened about 4:45 p.m.
