Cal Fire crews quickly contained a small vegetation fire on Friday morning near Cal Poly’s campus.

The blaze ignited about 11 a.m. near the Equine Center at the intersection of Via Carta and Village Drive, according to Cal Fire.

Crews had contained the quarter-acre fire by 11:43 a.m., although some firefighters remained on the scene to investigate and mop up.

The cause of the fire remains unknown. No injuries or property damage were reported, according to Cal Fire.
