After 30 years, Phyllis Madonna is turning over control of her Musical Revue and Fashion Show to the Women’s Shelter Program of San Luis Obispo County.
The 2018 charity event will be renamed The Women’s Shelter Program Musical Revue & Fashion Show, according to a news release, and it will be held on the first weekend of March at the Alex Madonna Expo Center, as it has been for 30 years.
“I am thrilled to pass on my beloved musical revue and fashion show into the capable and loving hands of the Women’s Shelter Program,” Madonna said in a news release.
As a tribute to Madonna and the money she has raised to benefit the Women’s Shelter over the past 30 years, the Women’s Shelter Program has created the Phyllis Madonna Legacy Fund, where supporters can donate money to the shelter specifically in her name.

Organizers said Madonna will still have a customary table at the end of the runway at the event, so she can cheer on the cast.
