A mother and her two teenage kids were displaced after a fire damaged their home Sunday night.
Responders were called out to a home in the 500 block of Victorian Court about 9:45 p.m., according to Five Cities Fire Authority Chief Steve Lieberman. It took firefighters 20 to 30 minutes to contain the fire, which burned the first-floor living room and two bedrooms on the second floor.
The occupants of the house, a mom and her two kids, were not home at the time of the fire, Lieberman said, and the home is “damaged, but reparable.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but authorities suspect it may have started in the living room.
