Update: 5:25 p.m.

The Rocky Fire east Atascadero near Creston that burned 17 acres has been 100 percent contained, according to Cal Fire.

Update 3:25 p.m.

The Rocky Fire near Atascadero has now burned 17 acres and is 80 percent contained, according to Cal Fire.

Update 2:50 p.m.

A brush fire east of Atascadero spread to about 15 acres. .

The fire, near Rocky Creek and Old Abode Canyon roads, was first reported as a 4-acre fire at 1:15 p.m. By 2:22 p.m., the fire was brought under control, though firefighters were still handling several hot spots.

Cal Fire is responding to a 4-acre vegetation fire at Rocky Creek and Old Abode Canyon roads, with one engine on-scene and several more en route.

The fire, on the Creston side of Rocky Canyon, was reported at 1:15 p.m.
