Bike SLO County gets interim executive director

Bike SLO County Board Treasurer Tyler Wertenbruch is acting as interim executive director after longtime Executive Director Dan Rivoire stepped down, according to a news release from the organization.

Bike SLO County is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life in San Luis Obispo County through bicycle advocacy, education and inspiration, the news release said. Bike SLO County has Bike Education, Bike Valet and Bike Kitchen programs, in addition to advocating for safer streets countywide.

Wertenbruch will lead Bike SLO County on a volunteer basis during the transition. He has previously served as Bike SLO County’s board president.

Wertenbruch is an avid cyclist who rides with Team Clif Bar Cycling, according to the news release. He will compete in the Mongolia Bike Challenge this summer.

In addition to acting as interim executive director, he will continue working as IT manager at RRM Design Group in San Luis Obispo.
