Sunni Mullinax resigned Monday as president and chief executive officer of the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce to pursue other opportunities, according to a chamber news release.
Before that, Mullinax was an active member of the chamber’s board and had been chair-elect until her appointment as president. She also had served as the chamber’s vice president of operations from August 2010 until August 2012.
The board of directors will now search for a permanent successor and an interim operations manager, the news release said. Interested applicants should email their résumés to email@example.com.
Dallas K. Mosier, board chairman, said the executive committee will run the chamber until it hires an interim operations manager. For the permanent top position, he said, the board is seeking someone who is a leader, with “marketing background, some financial background, an ability to connect with our businesses and deliver to our members the benefit and value they deserve.”
Mosier declined to elaborate on Mullinax’s departure, other than to say that it was a mutual decision to allow her to pursue other opportunities. “The board of directors wishes Sunni the best in her future endeavors and thanks her for her support and dedication to the organization,” the news release said.
Mullinax could not be reached for comment.
