Learn how to do business with government agencies at free event

A free event will be held Thursday, April 16, for business owners to learn more about how to conduct business with government agencies.

The business fair will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the San Luis Obispo Veterans Memorial Building, 801 Grand Ave. in San Luis Obispo.

The Central Coast Public Purchasing Alliance, a partnership between Caltrans, San Luis Obispo County, Cal Poly, the city of San Luis Obispo and several other government agencies, will participate in the event, according to a news release from Caltrans.

Small-business owners can participate in one-on-one appointments with buyers from each agency, attend multiagency workshops related to construction, goods and services, as well as receive information on small-business certifications from the California Department of General Services.
