The Cal Poly Small Business Development Center for Innovation and Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Softec and the Economic Vitality Corporation are seeking local startups for the 4th Annual TechPitch competition.
At the competition, six finalists will pitch their technology-related business idea to a panel of industry experts and investors. The winner will receive a cash prize to be used toward business expenses and investment. In addition, they will receive professional consulting services, contacts and opportunities from affiliate organizations.
Interested entrepreneurs must apply at techpitch.org and submit an executive summary of their business plan by midnight, Sept. 15. Finalists must be available for pitch coaching with the TechPitch committee during the three weeks prior to competition.
The final event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Alex Madonna Expo Center in San Luis Obispo. Tickets for the general public are $35 per person; $250 per table of eight; $15 for students.
