French Hospital Medical Center recently appointed three new members to the hospital’s Community Board.
The newly elected Community Board officers are Sister Susan Blomstad, director of the Mission Renewal Center behind Old Mission Santa Barbara; Brad Parkinson, chief architect for the design and implementation of Global Positioning System (GPS); and Dr. Michael J. Ryan, a former instructor at universities such as UCLA and Brown University.
In total, 48 community members participate on the Community Board, according to a French Hospital news release.
This year, the board is losing five members, all with more than 10 years of experience. These five are: Dr. Ke-Ping Tsao, past chair and a Lou Tedone Humanitarian of the Year Award Winner; John Ronca Jr., past chair; Jim Copeland, immediate past chair and the 2014 recipient of the Lou Tedone Humanitarian of the Year Award; Sister Pius Fahlstrom; and Dr. Mark Soll.
