Whether you are an avid collector of antiques or someone who simply appreciates unique objects from a bygone era, you may want to check out the Remnants of the Past Vintage Show on Saturday and Sunday at the Alex Madonna Expo Center in San Luis Obispo.
A $10 ticket purchased on the first day of the biannual event is valid for both days of the event. A portion of the money from ticket sales will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of San Luis Obispo.
Created in 2007, Remnants of the Past features more than 70 vintage vendors from all over the country displaying and selling refurbished antique treasures and “shabby-chic” works of art.
Sponsored by San Luis Obispo Vacations and touted by such publications as Country Living and Romantic Homes Magazine as the top vintage show in the U.S., the show will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Special guests this year include Jo Packham, editor and creator of Where Women Create Magazine and celebrity lifestyle and entertaining expert Matthew Mead of Matthew Mead Productions in Boston.
Locally-based, nationally known clothing designer Robin Kaplan is also a special guest.
As many as 4,000 people from across the country are expected to attend.
