The Saturday morning San Luis Obispo Farmers Market has been picked to help promote the 2013 Ford Escape at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Designers from Ford Motor Co. chose the market as an “authentic” destination. The auto show is being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center through Sunday.

A news release from the San Luis Obispo County Farmers Market Association said that “Ford has chosen to identify the Escape with destinations that capture the essence of its brand. It has designated the SLO Saturday Farmers` Market as the top ‘lifestyle’ destination, identifying its unique atmosphere as one that exemplifies the best qualities of a friendly, healthy and rewarding lifestyle, all qualities that have been enjoyed by thousands of market patrons.”

A number of San Luis Obispo farmers have been representing the local market and sharing stories about farming and the farmers market during the auto show, which began last Friday.
