French names its new board officers

French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo has announced the newest officers for its community and foundation boards.

Elected to a two-year term as chairman of the Community Board is Jim Copeland, founder of now-defunct Copeland Sports and a founding sponsor of the Copeland, Forbes and Rossi Cardiac Care Center, the Performing Arts Center at Cal Poly and the San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum. Registered nurse Ann Grant is vice chairwoman and Kevin M. Rice is secretary.

The Community Board works to assure that health services at the hospital are medically necessary, safe and consistent, according to a recent news release.

Elected to a two-year term as chairwoman of the Foundation Board is Sandy Dunn, a member of the Hearst Cancer Resource Center Advisory Committee and supporter of many local charities.

Pierre Rademaker has joined the Foundation Board as vice chairman, and Patrick O’Hara is both secretary and treasurer.

The Foundation Board is made up of volunteers who help raise funds for the nonprofit hospital, which is owned by Catholic Healthcare West.
