Ryan Pinkerton, 39, became principal of his alma mater, Arroyo Grande High School, in 2003. There, he oversees 150 employees and 2,200 students. With a political science degree and a master’s degree in education administration from Cal Poly, he taught and held other administrative positions in South County. He recently supervised a three-year, $21 million campus renovation. “I am very proud of the academic achievements and awards that our staff and students have worked toward and obtained over the past seven years,” says Pinkerton. He has coached youth sports for more than a decade. With son Brayden, 11, and daughter Karley, 8, Pinkerton and wife, Susie, expect another daughter in April.
