MindBody Inc., a global software company based in San Luis Obispo, has hired Jeff Harper as senior vice president of people and culture.

Harper, who has more than 20 years of experience as a human resources leader, has previously worked at companies such as Capital One, THQ Inc. and Ubisoft.

Establishing a strong company culture in order to drive the overall success of a business has been a focus for Harper through his career, a MindBody news release said.

“Jeff has the unique skill set and experiences needed to scale our global team while strengthening the integration and impact of our core values. We’re delighted to have him on board,” MindBody CEO Rick Stollmeyer said in the release.

MindBody, which provides business management software for clients in the health and wellness industry, closed Thursday on the Nasdaq exchange at $15.90 a share, up 0.19 percent.
