French Hospital Medical Center has announced the election of new officers and the appointment of new and returning members to serve on the community board and the foundation board for the 2015-2016 year.
The role of the community board is to ensure that health services provided at the hospital are medically necessary, of high quality, safe, effective, efficient and consistent with community standards, according to a company news release. Patricia Gomez was elected chair of the French Hospital Community Board. She succeeds Kevin M. Rice, who will serve as past chair. Other officers: Leopold G. Selker, vice chair; Michael Clayton, secretary. Kathleen Enz Finken was named a new board member.
The French Hospital Medical Center Foundation is a nonprofit, public benefit organization that raises funds for French Hospital through charitable contributions. Reese T. Davies was named chair of the 2015-16 board, succeeding Pierre Rademaker, who will serve as past chair. Other officers: Liz Summer, vice chair; Jeffrey P. Garza, secretary and treasurer. Tom Lebens, Michele Ferreri and Tammy Loughead were named new board members.
