Peachy Canyon Winery in Paso Robles has named Robert Henson, former vice president of winemaking at Tooth & Nail Winery, as its new winemaker.
Henson, a 43-year-old California native, has worked in the wine industry for 20 years, previously working with veteran winemaker Michael Michaud, who launched Michaud Vineyard in Monterey County.
“It’s an opportunity that does not often occur to have someone with such experience and skill join our team,” Peachy Canyon founding vintner and proprietor Doug Beckett said in a news release.
Beckett founded Peachy Canyon with his wife, Nancy, in 1988. The winery produces about 50,000 barrels a year that are distributed internationally, including in the United Kingdom, Canada and Asia.
