Righetti at Paso Robles

The Paso Robles High football team has taken a 21-7 lead into halftime in its game against Righetti tonight.

Bearcats quarterback Garrett Nelson had a 7-yard touchdown run to put Paso Robles up 14-7 early in the second quarter.

After the Warriors turned the ball over on fourth-and-goal and a Nelson fumble, Paso Robles drove late in the quarter, scoring a touchdown on a 5-yard touchdown run by Nelson to put the Bearcats up 21-7.

Nelson has 143 yards passing and two rushing touchdowns for Paso Robles in the first half.

First quarter:

The Paso Robles High football team has taken a 7-7 tie into the second quarter of its game against Righetti tonight in Paso Robles.

Jimmy Pacheco got the scoring going with a 1-yard touchdown run to put the Bearcats up 7-0 with 5:35 in the first quarter.

At the end of the first quarter, Paso Robles was threatening with the ball on the Righetti 12-yard line.

San Luis Obispo at St. Joseph


The San Luis Obispo High football team trails 20-10 at halftime in its game against St. Joseph.

After a Garrett Giovannelli touchdown run had the Tigers up 7-3 early in the second quarter, a 58-yard touchdown pass from Curry Parham to Zak Karch put the Knights up 10-7.

San Luis Obispo would even the score at 10 each with a 26-yard Liam Stewart field goal.

However, St. Joseph returned the ensuing kickoff 97 yards to put the Knights up 17-10.

St. Joseph would convert a Giovannelli fumble into a field goal as the clock expired to end the half, giving the Knights the 20-10 lead.

First quarter:

The San Luis Obispo High football hold a 7-3 lead in the second quarter of its game against St. Joseph in Santa Maria tonight.

After the Knights’ (2-1) Ben Adam kicked a 42-yard field goal on the game’s opening drive, the Tigers offense drove into St. Joseph territory before turning the ball over on downs at the 36-yard line.

On the next possession for San Luis Obispo, quarterback Garrett Giovannelli capped a lengthy drive with a 5-yard touchdown run to give the Tigers the 7-3 lead.
