Disturbance raises alarm in Paso

Paso Robles police responded to two 911 calls this afternoon from people who said they saw a man, armed with a handgun, yelling at another man in the 100 block of Santa Ynez Avenue.

The callers then said the two men went inside the home about 4:15 p.m., according to a news release from the Paso Robles Police Department.

Police responded to the area and waited for assistance from CHP and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, police said. A CHP helicopter also responded to provide aerial surveillance.

Officers were able to talk to the people inside the home, who complied with officers’ directions. It was not clear how many people were in the home at the time of the incident.

Further investigation revealed that no crime had occurred; no weapon was found and no one was injured, police said.

Anyone with more information is asked to call police at 237-6464 or San Luis Obispo County Crime Stoppers at 549-7867.
