Drivers heading north of the San Luis Obispo/Monterey county line on Highway 1 may be delayed briefly because of bridge-resurfacing work starting today.
The initial job site will be near Ragged Point. As each section is completed, workers will move north to the next bridge until they reach Moss Landing. Motorists can expect one-way reversing traffic control from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
American Civil Constructors West Coast of Benicia is the contractor for the $777,000 Caltrans project.
Work is expected to be complete sometime in December.
