One person is dead after a head-on collision on Price Canyon Road near Highway 227 early this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Few details were available as of 2 p.m. CHP Officer Joe Vega said the incident happened around 8:30 and involved a medium-size trash truck and a midsize car. The driver of the car did not survive. There were no passengers in either vehicle, Vega said.
Dispatch logs say the crash site was about two miles from Bello Road. The closure was at the intersection of Price Canyon Road and Lemoore Street and lasted for about two hours, according to the logs.
Investigators are still at the scene, Vega said. More details on the incident are expected to be released later this afternoon.
