Fire destroys mobile home, burns half acre in California Valley

Firefighters are investigating what caused flames to engulf a California Valley mobile home this afternoon, destroying the dwelling and charring more than half an acre.No one was injured in the fire, which started just after 1 p.m. in the 14000 block of Del Rosa Road, County/Cal Fire officials said. Six fire engines, a water tender and an air tanker contained the blaze within an hour.No other structures were damaged, officials said, but the fire charred a swath of land near the home. Red Cross crews were dispatched this afternoon to assist the five adults who lived there, fire officials said.Investigators have not determined a cause.
