The Carrizo Plain National Monument Advisory Committee will meet July 21 at the Carissa Elementary School to discuss management planning for the monument and other issues.
The meeting will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with public comment invited from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be available for $8.
The school is located approximately two miles northwest of the Soda Lake Road turn-off on Highway 58.
The nine-member committee advises the Secretary of the Interior, through the Bureau of Land Management, on a variety of public land issues associated with public land management in the Carrizo Plain National Monument.
