A man whose body was found along Highway 1 in San Simeon apparently died of natural causes, according to a preliminary autopsy report released Thursday.
Coroner’s officials said toxicology results are pending, but it appears the man, who was in his 60s, died of a cardiac-related event.
The man, whose identity is not being released because his family hasn’t been notified, was found at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday by a passer-by near Little Pico Creek.
Deputies believe the man was homeless.
