Residents can pick up fireworks Wednesday to benefit a host of local youth groups.
The Templeton Youth 4th of July Fireworks Booth will open at noon on the corner of Las Tablas Road and Florence Street. The booth will stay open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Independence Day.
Sales of the fireworks will benefit 14 youth organizations, including the Templeton and Rio Rancheros 4-H clubs, Templeton High School band boosters and football.
It is legal to sell fireworks in the community from Wednesday through July 4, Templeton Fire Chief Greg O’Sullivan said. Residents may not shoot them off on Templeton Unified School District property on 4th and 5th streets east of Main Street.
