The monthly salary of the Pismo Beach City Council members will increase by $118, to $514.80 from $396 in December 2008.
The city council unanimously approved the raise Tuesday night. In addition, the mayor’s salary will include an additional $200 stipend, increasing to $714.80 from $396.
Mayors in the cities of San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles receive a similar stipend, according to a staff report prepared by city staff. The last salary increase for Pismo council members was seven years ago, in December 2002.
