Two of the Central Coast's most popular vacation spots are no longer taking reservations for the July 4 holiday period, State Parks officials report.
Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area and Pismo State Beach have sold out for the popular period between June 29 and July 7, officials said. Campers who do no have reservations will be turned away from the campsites.
Day-use permits are still available, officials said, but may also sell out as the areas are expected to reach capacity July 4.
Rangers will be on hand that night to enforce overnight capacity. those caught illegally camping will be subject to citations and fines up to $270.
