An Atascadero State Hospital employee was taken to the emergency room after his car struck two trees near the facility.
The employee, whose name and age were not released, was traveling toward the hospital late this morning when the car veered into the oncoming lane and ran off the road, ASH spokeswoman Barrie Hafler said.
Officers at the scene said they did not know how fast the car – a white Dodge – was traveling or the extent of the driver’s injuries.
He was taken to a nearby hospital, Hafler said.
