The Highway 101 on-ramp and off-ramp on Brisco Road in Arroyo Grande will be closed from today through June 12 to study traffic flow.
The city of Arroyo Grande is working with Caltrans to develop a solution to traffic issues at the Brisco-Halcyon interchange. A study report was recently approved and several alternatives are being considered. The closure of the Brisco Road on-ramp and off-ramp is one option.
By temporarily closing the ramps, city officials hope to measure impacts on nearby ramps and local streets. During the test the Brisco Road underpass will remain open to through traffic between East Branch Street and El Camino Real. For details, call 473-5440 or go to www.arroyogrande.org.
