An appeal of a Grover Beach Planning Commission decision to allow live music at O’Reilly’s bar in Grover Beach has been withdrawn, according to the city.
In April, the commission approved the use permit for live music at the bar at 295 W. Grand Ave. But John Koepf, the manager of a nearby residential complex, filed an appeal that was set to be heard at Monday’s City Council meeting.
Jeff Wynn, who owns O’Reilly’s, said that he and Koepf spoke about the matter on Monday. The property manager agreed to withdraw the appeal after getting a promise from the O’Reilly’s owner to abide by the city’s noise ordinance.
Live music had been allowed at the bar in the past on a temporary basis.
