Downed power line in Morro Bay leaves 1,700 people in dark

A power outage in southern Morro Bay near the golf course left 1,700 customers temporarily without electricity Monday morning.

A downed power line at Ridgeway Street and Kern Avenue disrupted power about 7:30 a.m. PG&E restored power to all but 89 customers about an hour later and the remaining homes affected gained power just before 1:30 p.m.

PG&E is investigating the cause of the fallen power line.
