A full-scale search is on in San Miguel this morning for a missing man.
The Sheriff’s Department has ground teams, horse teams and aircraft searching for Steven Taylor, 43. The teams are focusing on the Salinas River bed area.
Someone reported Taylor missing Monday just after 9 p.m., said sheriff’s Sgt. William Souza. Deputies started searching immediately, but weren’t able to get very far during the night.
Taylor, described as a white man, 5 foot 10 inches tall, 170 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, is believed to be on foot, Souza said. He was last seen at his home in San Miguel early Monday morning. He may be suicidal, Souza said.
